California eRecording Re-Submission
What happens if my eRecording is rejected?
You will receive email notification of the County Recorder's rejection reason(s). Your original rejected document will be mailed back to you from our scanning center so the necessary corrections can be made.
How do I re-submit my rejected recording?
You will need your original Get It Recorded 10-digit job number and the reference name or number for the recording. Submit a re-submission order and mail the complete corrected original document back to our scanning center.
Once received, we will scan the corrected original and electronically re-submit it to the County Recorder.
What is the re-submission fee?
The reduced re-submission service fee is $75.00. The service fee from the original recording request is non-refundable after the document has been submitted to the County Recorder.
Does Get It Recorded make the corrections to my document?
No. The County Recorder provides the rejection reason(s), and the necessary corrections must be made before the document is returned to Get It Recorded for re-submission.
What happens to my original recording request?
The original recording request is closed when the recording is rejected. A new re-submission request is required to send the corrected document back to the County Recorder.
